Karim Abu Zaid is responsible for the ilmcon.org event where Daniel is promoted as an 'aalim amongst the other 'ulemaa. He is the only person speaking at the conference who is NOT on salafiyyah. Notice that he is put on top of 'ulemaa such as Sheikh Abu Usamah, Sheikh Okasha Kameny and Sheikh Bilal Philips.

Many are upset about inviting Daniel and providing him a platform to promote his deviations at the conference. It is unfortunate that most of these speakers are unaware of his fitnah. His own fan base consists of deobandis who hate salafiyyah.
